Right like, by the time you sit down at your desk you've already answered three questions that weren't yours to answer, flagged two emails that need a response "asap," and you're making a decision about something when your brain is still in park. That's not a you problem, that's a structure problem. You don't have a system for how the first hour goes, so it goes however the loudest thing decides it goes.
And the AI you already pay for — it's just sitting there. You're using it like a search engine with better grammar. You're not using it to actually run the front end of your day.
These aren't generic "use AI better" tips. Each routine is a specific prompt structure with instructions on what to feed it, what you get back, and how long it takes. You don't have to figure anything out — you just run the routine.
Give it your brain dump — whatever is in your head, unfiltered. You get back your top 3 priorities, what you should skip or defer, and a single sentence on what this day is actually about. You decide whether it's right, but you stop staring at a blank to-do list trying to triage yourself.
Paste in overnight emails and it categorizes them: act today, reply later, FYI only, delete. For anything in the "act today" pile, it drafts response templates so you're not writing from scratch. This one alone justifies the $37, right like, if you get more than 20 emails a morning this is the first 10 minutes of your day handled.
Three minutes of talking into your phone, dumping whatever you're thinking about — work, an observation, something annoying, something good. Paste the transcript. You get 5 content ideas back, with angles. This is the routine I use when I've got something to say but no idea how to frame it, you know like the thought is there but it's not a post yet.
Before Monday hits you, this sets the frame for the whole week — what the one constraint is, what you're actually trying to accomplish, what success looks like by Friday. Not a task list. The mental model for the week so you're not reacting to everything equally. If you only use one routine, make it this one on Monday.
A handoff note for tomorrow-you. What got done, what didn't, what needs to happen first, what's blocked and why. You're basically leaving yourself a voicemail, except organized. Tomorrow morning starts in 2 minutes instead of 20 because you don't have to rebuild your own context from scratch at 6am.
